- Organizing the content logically
- Creating and utilizing complementary visual aids
Preparing the Trainer
- The trainer’s three fundamental communication tools:
- Verbal – the choice of words, avoiding slang and jargon
- Vocal – the tone and sound, avoiding distracting verbal tics or unnecessary pauses
- Visual – the presenter’s appearance: attire, mannerisms, and overall presence
- Rehearsing the training session and obtaining honest feedback from a trusted source
- Managing nerves
Preparing the Environment
- Room layouts – and how they convey underlying messages to attendees
- Using the room to enhance the training experience
