Important Notice: The certification is currently undergoing a refresh to align with recent legislative developments, effective from 30 April 2021.
These updates will be reflected in exams administered by training providers starting 31 July 2021. For examinations conducted via Pearson VUE, the updated syllabus applies from 1 September 2021.
Any legislative adjustments occurring between 1 May and 31 October 2021 will be incorporated into the new syllabus version, scheduled for release in January 2022.

The course is instructed by an expert NobleProg trainer who has received approval from BCS.
The fee covers the full delivery of the course syllabus by an approved BCS trainer, as well as the BCS Foundation Data Protection exam. This exam can be completed remotely at your convenience and is centrally invigilated by BCS. Candidates who achieve a pass mark of at least 65% in the multiple-choice assessment will receive the accredited BCS Foundation Certificate in Data Protection.
Requirements
While not mandatory, possessing a foundational understanding of data protection law, along with basic proficiency in IT and GDPR concepts, will significantly benefit participants.

Course - BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection
1. The BCS test exam questions were often incoherent or not related to the syllabus - which appears to be a trait of BCS course and exams 2. the subject matter was taught reading powerpoint slides full of text - the BCS should be providing at least some diagrammatic content and other visual aids especially as many people learn in very different ways - more than just reading text.
