Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A prominent financial services firm sought to transition from a leading industry-standard BI solution in one of its key products to an open-source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this analysis, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting requirements for various report types. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended modifications to the data stores to optimize Superset usage and ensure peak performance, providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. Following the optimization of the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements as well as new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plugins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation (such as drill-down features).
Outcome The consultants have been creating new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organization to maintain the dashboards and reports. The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer’s business operations and their end clients. To underscore the success of the initiative, it has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
