Superset Consulting Requirement A major financial services firm sought to replace an industry-leading commercial BI solution within a key product. The goal was to transition to the open-source platform, Superset, in order to significantly reduce licensing expenses.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged in multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly define requirements, scope, risks, and the technical environment. This process resulted in a comprehensive Statement of Work to steer and monitor the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs of each report type. Recommendations were made to modify data stores to leverage Superset’s capabilities fully while ensuring optimal performance, with expert guidance provided to the implementation team for these adjustments. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began constructing and deploying a range of reports based on both existing requirements and new requests from the business and end customers. To meet specific data presentation needs, custom plugins were developed to enable more interactive features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the customer organization for ongoing maintenance of these dashboards and reports.
The project is currently in progress and has been favorably received by both the client’s business units and their end users. In recognition of the project’s success, it has been expanded to cover additional products and end clients.
